Welcome to Shadyhill Puppies
Shadyhill Kennel was born on a tree topped hill in Nemaha County Kansas in 1980. We realized our Collie family member was aging and we wanted to preserve her line so we introduced her to a well bred neighboring male. No Puppies.... We were heart broken-- to the point of buying a group of breeding Collies. Then a few weeks later we purchased a group of their smaller counterparts, Shelties. Our reputation for quality puppies is well established. No longer producing mid to large size puppies we have decided that our Papillons and Yorkshire Terriers will be more than adequate to make us and our customers very happy for a very long while. Having now only a very few of what we consider some of the highest quality in each breed, we are devoted to finding our "little ones" all happy homes.
LOVE is a PUPPY from SHADYHILL!

DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU
.A LOVING PUPPY IS THE RESULT OF A LOVING OWNER
In these times of high unemployment and higher and higher prices at the pump and the grocery store, it is time for the small business owner to adjust their prices for their wares. I, as a very small business, have made this decision. I am asking only what the market now will bear and absolutely NOT what my beautiful high quality puppies are worth. DO NOT be alarmed at my low prices, believing as in olden days that a low price indicates low quality!! For a puppy I now ask $350 for I used to receive $1500.........
I have been raising and loving my little furry family for 33 years. I have seen good times and bad times. I, unlike other veteran breeders, am riding out the storm, waiting for better times. I search only for suitable loving homes for the puppies I have so lovingly taken care of. I have been fortunate to find wonderful homes for all my puppies this year. It has been a rewarding year for Shadyhill and would seem that interest in our fine puppies is beginning to return to normal. We hope that our growing economy will continue now to grow and we can all return to a somewhat normal life.
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
Helen, daughter Melanie, son Chip and his wife Cara have worked together in this family endeavor since it began. .
We are happy to be together as a team, one speaking for all and all for one in producing these wonderful little furry persons. Many families are happy to have joined our group of proud parents, and many more to come.
